PhD (2023) and Master's (2017) in Arts from the School of Fine Arts at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (EBA/UFMG), Filipe Chaves has an interdisciplinary background that integrates art and science. He holds a degree in Biological Sciences from UFMG (2013) and a degree in Visual Arts from Faculdade Claretiano (2024). A generalist photographer, documentary filmmaker, researcher, and educator, he has extensive experience in audiovisual production. His work encompasses various aspects of filmmaking, including cinematography, directing, editing, sound recording, production, and screenwriting. Throughout his career, he has made significant contributions to numerous projects, combining artistic sensitivity with theoretical rigor and technical expertise.
